Dr. Celisha Merriman-owner, completed her bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University in 2009. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2013. During graduate school, Dr. Merriman was an active member of SVOSH, a student organization that works with local and international Lions Clubs to provide eyecare services to various underserved areas in South and Central America.
Dr. Merriman was born and raised in Southern Illinois, and now resides in Goreville with her husband and daughter, Everly. She has practiced as an associate doctor at the Anna and Carbondale since 2013, and purchased ownership of the practice in 2018. Dr. Merriman enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and treats a wide variety of eye related issues, including eyeglasses and contacts, and management of dry eye disease. She is also a provider for Infant See, a program that offers complete eye exams to infants under the age of 1 at no charge.
